Bob Dolemite is the music producer name, NotPorn is the name of the filmmaking company, founded in 2003.
Government is Cal REDACTED.
Cal started off teaching himself filmmaking like many other elder millennials, by finding a handheld video camera back in the 1900s when tapes were the only viable way to create videos at a consumer level.
After receiving a Sony Handycam in Mini-DV tape format, Cal began filming skateboarding videos in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with friends.
Taking heavy influence at a young age by shows like Jackass, CKY, video games like Tony Hawk Pro Skater, musically, visually, and ultimately creatively, Cal, and his friends in high school would film non-stop, frequently imitating stunts inspired by Jackass & CKY.
Living in Florida during core developmental years as a child transitioning into the teenage years is VERY DIFFERENT THAN THE REST OF THE COUNTRY. We've all heard of the Florida Man, and Cal was absolutely a Florida-Teen. Arguably one of the most feared creatures in the northern hemisphere of the US.
Cal moved to Michigan, where he filmed with more new acquaintances and friends, being introduced to the World of Hip-Hop via Wu-Tang Clan.
Moving to Minneapolis, MN after completing high school, Cal participated in the local hip hop scene, and filmed his first professional music video for DJ Vadim's song "Manchester" using a Canon Camera. Unfortunately, YouTube and Apple's Final Cut Pro were not very compatible with the codecs and using FireWire cables to capture footage from the Mini-DV platform, into the editing software.
Still, Cal prevailed after learning from failure, as many Floridian Re-Domestication MK Ultra programming experiments for Super Human abilities to smoke excessive amounts of Devil's Lettuce with the CIA's efforts to ultimately create a super-smoker, who could eventually out-smoke Snoop Dogg.
Their mission failed as Cal escaped the fictional underground government facility and went rogue with his reggae-fueled smoking rampage.
Upon his arrival back into society, he quickly found TWO out of TWO amateur actors on Minneapolis Craigslist who volunteered to participate.
After the DJ Vadim music video's success, Cal had accomplished his first true Music Video published by the record label BBE, resulting in an estimated 300K+ views on BBE's official YouTube channel.
Cal was also a regular cinematographer for the hilarious Sketch Comedy group "Sparkle Picnic," with occasional cameos and acting roles.
Cal first attempted and arguably succeeded with his first ever stand up comedy open mic set at the legendary Acme Comedy Co. in Minneapolis, MN in 2009, shortly before his 21st birthday.
Cal would go on to independently network with many legendary comedians, offering to film their sets for free, in his way of thanking them for all of the laughter they provided him with, through all of their grueling years of touring and the horror that is the life of a touring stand up comedian. These were the before-fore times of the media format known as podcasts, so free videos were usually greatly appreciated.
From there, Cal later collaborated with many other artists, primarily filming live shows and meeting legends in the Hip-Hop Hall of Fame, such as KRS-ONE, Redman, Lil Fame of M.O.P., Sadat X of Brand Nubian, and many more.
The Birth of Bob Dolemite
Having dabbled in 2007 with GarageBand, trying the Logic DAW once or twice and immediately becoming infuriated, he focused on filmmaking, until a local Minneapolis DJ showed Cal the basics of Ableton Live 8.
From there, Cal, knowing zero music theory, what BPM had to do with mixing and blending on turntables, and some very overpriced music equipment from local retailers, and Dr. Frankenstein-ing his studio setup, he began taking making music seriously.
Cal's music career really became a passion and creative outlet through the artistic and undiagnosed autistic creative juxtaposition of two people, the Legendary Rudy Ray Moore, AKA DOLEMITE, and the politician Bob Dole, a True Gangster for getting shot and losing the ability to use his right arm which he would usually hold a pencil in. Through the eyes of Cal, Bob Dole was essentially a rapper trapped in a Republican's body. He had survived being shot, always referred to himself in the 3rd person, and there are more things the writer of this bio that DEFINITELY IS NOT CAL, forgot about him that would derail the story.
Pretty sure Bob Dole killed some Nazis during WWII. That's DEFINITELY Hip-Hop.
Bob Dole was considered one of the last Republicans to "reach across the aisle," when it came to working in America's last leg of non-bipartisan politics.
Rudy Ray Moore was a self-funded comedian and filmmaker, highly renowned as "the creator of modern-day rhyming" through his multiple adult rated albums, where Dolemite would rhyme his dirty jokes, spin tales of hilarious dirty jokes, and ended up HUSTLING so hard during the Blaxploitation film era, as a self-made film producer, director, and main star of his movies. He was honored before his passing being featured on Busta Rhymes' album.
Hence, Bob Dolemite was born.
Hey, thanks for reading all of this so far! Have you drank any water? You should. Hydration is really important. Go have some real quick. This page should be here when you get back.
Great! Welcome back! Did you pee? Alright, I'll wait.
Okay, that took a while. You should introduce more fiber into your diet.
After a cold residency in Minneapolis, fueled by alcohol, and community college expulsion to try to turn a 2 year video-technical degree into a 6 year "Moving of the goal post," where the Community College "Professors" insisted on changing the requirements for the degree to include "working with the other beings trying to assimilate the human race and gain entry through the world of media, so Cal, THESE ARE ALL TEAM PROJECTS NOW," So they could exploit the OVERFLOWING WEALTH THAT IS COMMUNITY COLLEGE FUNDING, to justify purchasing the RED cameras that their Mac Desktops were incapable of handling basic editing and rendering.....
Cal's much loved grandmother passed away, so Cal moved down to Paris, TX to spend time with his Grandfather Don, to keep him company and help him out on his 80-acre farm. Times were tough, Money was virtually nonexistent.
Luckily, there was a record store in the downtown area of the INCREDIBLY SMALL TOWN OF PARIS, TX.
This is where Cal sourced the dirtiest vinyl that the families of the deceased would try to get some money from their grandparents record collections, occasionally stumbling upon rare, limited pressings of obscure small town church sermons, indoctrinated choirs, BEST OF (GENRE) COMPILATIONS, comedy records, and many different odd records.
Using small Logitech computer speakers, Cal assembled the unintentionally poorly mixed and mastered, vinyl popping and plosive filled verse on the track "Massive Bloodshed," lo-fidelity album, " FAUXPOCALYPSE " considered to be the first official Bob Dolemite album.
BollyHOOD was also created in Paris, TX. A mix of old Bollywood movies, sampled and chopped into a hip hop album.
Cal is an artist for the sake of artistry. Having been rich, poor, rich again, middle class, and having experienced a wide spectrum of how America's Class Division functions, Cal decided that Capitalism isn't his ideal political belief, but nobody has courage or integrity enough to change things, when a lottery mentality and sports are steadfast and CHANGE IS THE DEVIL.
The Intern Biographer that volunteered to write this in mud and dyes left on the inside of subterranean caves, shortly after completing this amount of the biography, wandered into the woods and was never seen again. We meant to credit him, but he never gave us his name, so we only have a physical description:
7 foot, 11 inches tall, Upright Bipedal Being, Red hair, covering his entire body, prefers nudism, size 48 shoe, prefers a diet of berries and local foliage, nocturnal, and is notoriously blurry in photographs.
RESPONDS TO "HARRY," as well as "HOLY FLAPJACKS, MARY-SUE! GRAB THE CAMERA! THERE IS A BEAST'S SILHOUETTE ON THE HILL'S CREST!"
